There was a new unusual device – a tiny console PocketSprite. Despite the size, it is said to be fully functional and will be able to launch various retro games.
The device is equipped, in particular, with an OLED display, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi modules, a battery, as well as a dual-core ESP32 processor with a frequency of 240 MHz and 520 kilobytes of RAM. This, by the way, makes it much more powerful than the original Game Boy, which was equipped with a processor with a frequency of 4.19 MHz and 16 kilobytes of RAM.
It is noted that this will be an open-source console. Built-in emulators, as reported by the developers, will allow you to run on PocketSprite games that came out on Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Sega Msater System and Game Gear. At the moment the project has already collected the necessary amount for development.
